Q: What is Jackrabbit?

Jackrabbit is the online registration and payment processing system MT uses for all registrations and payments. Jackrabbit partners with SafeSave Payment Systems for credit card and eCheck processing.

 

 

Q: How is tuition determined?

The prices are determined by class level and duration. The price shown in the Parent Portal is the standard monthly rate for classes. The class standard tuition shown in the Parent Portal is for 4 classes per month. In the event there are more or less classes within a given month, Jackrabbit will automatically adjust the tuition price for the month.

 

 

Q: How does the tuition billing process work?

Jackrabbit will post monthly tuition on the Parent Portal on the 15th of the prior month. A $20 late fee is applied to accounts with an outstanding tuition balance on the 1st of the month. 

 

 

Q: What type of payment options are available?

You can pay online via credit card or eCheck (ACH). If you wish to pay cash, you still need to register online, then please place cash (in an envelope labeled with your name and classes) in the Tuition box. The full registration and payment policy are available on the Parent Portal

 

Jackrabbit uses SafeSave Payment Services which holds a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard certification. This is the same data protection standards required for all banks and major credit card companies. Q: What discounts are offered?

We offer a sibling discount (10% for the 2nd child; 15% for the 3rd child). Additionally, we offer a 30% multi-class discount when purchasing 3 or more classes. Discounts do not appear in Jackrabbit until checkout and are not applicable to Workshops, Ceili or Show Team.

Q: How do makeups work?

-Absences must be pre-scheduled in Jackrabbit at least one day in advance of the absence in order to have the absence qualify for a makeup class. In the event of a last minute emergency or illness, please email students@meghantorno.com to have your dancer's absence qualify for a makeup.

- Makeups must be utilized within 1 months of the absence. Dancers can attend a lower level class for makeup if enrolled in the maximum number of classes offered for their respective level.

-Makeups are designed to provide dancers the opportunity to make up a class for illness or feis travel / vacation. They are not designed for dancers to flex their schedule weekly or enroll in a 30 minute class and use makeup for a 2 hour class. Families abusing the use of the makeups will no longer be allowed to use makeups.

- Makeup classes must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance through the Jackrabbit Parent Portal. You can cancel or change a makeup at least one day in advance of the scheduled makeup.

- On rare occasions, classes may be canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Dancers will be provided a makeup class for the canceled class. Pre-Beginner dancers will receive a class tuition credit for these circumstances.

- Makeup can only be used for regular classes and cannot be used for private lessons, workshops, ceili or show team.

 

 

Q: Is there a registration fee?

There is a $75 Jackrabbit annual registration fee per family for system processing. New families will be charged a $25 registration fee at time of enrollment.

Q: How do I find the classes for my dancer’s level on Jackrabbit?

  • Once you access Jackrabbit, click FIND CLASSES on your dashboard

  • Use the “Add a Filter Option” to select classes by CLASS LEVEL. This will display only the classes in the class level you select

Q: How do I add classes mid-month?

If you decide mid-mont that additional classes are needed, you do not need to wait until the next month to add them. You can add the class directly within the Parent Portal at any time and it will prorate the class accordingly. Jackrabbit also sends a notification to the teacher so they know to expect your dancer at the next class!

 

 

Q: Can I change classes mid-month?

Classes cannot be dropped during the session, and tuition is non-refundable.  

 

 

Q: What do I do if my dancer advances class levels mid-session?

If a dancer advances class levels during the session, email students@meghantorno.com and the class schedule will be updated. Any tuition differences will be prorated accordingly. 

 

 

Q: What are Events?

The events section of Jackrabbit is where special workshops and other events are posted for registration. Check out the session calendar, MT Parent Facebook page or email announcement on workshops.

 

 

Q: Do you offer private lessons? 

Private lessons are available for any dancer registered in 3 class or more per week (not including ceili or show team). Lessons are also available for dancers who need extra help on new steps or if they are struggling with class material. Email students@meghantorno.com for more information on private lessons.

Q: Are there minimum class requirements for dancers participating in major competitions?

For PC/OC dancers participating in any major competition (Oireachtas, North American Championships, All Irelands, All Scotlands, Great Britains, and World Championships), they are required to register and participate in a minimum of three solo classes/week during the session that the major competition is held. Non-PC/OC dancers may have additional class requirements for Oireachtas and North American Championship participation and will be provided to each dancer separately. 

 

 

Q: What is N/PW & PC/OC Unlimited?

This is a membership style option for N/PW & PC/OC dancers which offers them unlimited access to all classes offered to their respective level. This cost saving option provides families with total flexibility on class schedules and predictability of monthly tuition. The unlimited option does not include workshops, ceili or show team.
